President Dalton, organizer of the Games of Ancient Greece Dalton in a statement the President has declared to be held in Taranto in the month of May 2010 the first edition of the Games of Ancient Greece.
The games will be held for the first time at a professional level, as will the location of Puglia and in particular the city of Taranto, the capital of Magna Grecia in ancient times and home to the Tomb of the Athlete of Taranto (four times Olympic Champion in Penthatlon in ancient times). The games will see the participation of Greek Sports Associations, the Associations of Italian regions belonging to the geographical area of \u200b\u200bMagna Graecia: Region Puglia, Calabria, Campania, Sicily, Basilicata Region. They will also invite all other Italian regions with small representation of athletes and other international countries such as Egypt.
